- Document windows are the windows in which Microsoft Internet Explorer displays documents or Web pages.
- Multiple document windows (instances of Microsoft Internet Explorer)
- can be open at the same time. You can work with each
- window independently. For example, you can read a document in
- one window while loading files in others.

- <H3>Parts of a Document Window</H3>
- <UL>
- <LI>The <B>title bar</B> displays the title, if any, of the current
- document. <BR>

- <LI>The <B>menu bar</B> offers access to all of the Microsoft
- Internet Explorer <A HREF="commands.htm#TOP">commands</A>. <BR>

- <LI><A NAME="TOOLBAR">The </A><B>toolbar</B> provides quick access
- to frequently used functions. To hide the toolbar, choose Toolbar
- from the View menu. <BR>

- <LI>Use the <B>Back</B> and <B>Forward</B> buttons to move between
- documents that you have viewed. <BR>

- <LI>The <B>Address box</B> displays the address, or <A HREF="url.htm">URL</A>,
- of the current page. If you know the address of the page you want
- to view, type it in the Address box, and then press <FONT SIZE=2>ENTER</FONT>.

- <LI>The <B>status bar</B> displays status information while a
- file is being loaded. As you move the mouse pointer over a link,
- the status bar displays the address associated with the link. When
- you move the pointer over a toolbar button, the function
- of the button appears in the status bar.
